Screenplay Script

INT. MEDIA CLASSROOM. DAY

DEIONDRE sits down at his computer with a bottle of juice and continues to complete his media work.

DEIONDRE

(Sighs)

 

DEIONDRE begins searching for ways to de-stress on the computer.

 

EXT. MAYESBROOK PARK. DAY

DEIONDRE is walking around the park with a bottle of water, a yoga mat and a towel.

 

EXT. MAYESBROOK PARK. BY THE LAKE. DAY

 

DEIONDRE

Ahh... This will do

 

DEIONDRE sets up his yoga equipment on the grass by the lake and begins with stretches. His mind is knocked into another states as a ball hits his head.

 

 YOUNG GIRL/BOY

(From a distance)

Sorry!

 

DEIONDRE packs up his yoga equipment in a hurry.

 

 EXT. MAYESBROOK PARK. BY A TREE. DAY

DEIONDRE walks around to a new spot under a large tree, close to the back of the park.

 

DEIONDRE

(Closes his eyes and assumes position)

Silence.

 

LUKE

(From a distance – Getting closer with a chuckle)

Yo! Deiondre is that you? What are you doing with a yoga mat?

 

DEIONDRE

(His eyes snap open as he quickly stands up and hesitates to speak and stutters)

Err… Hey! This… This belongs to…My sister. Yeah my sister, she’s on her way I was just setting it up for her...

 

After minutes of convincing LUKE the mat is his sisters. LUKE walks away. DEIONDRE picks up his mat and runs as fast as he can in the opposite direction.

 

EXT. MAYESBROOK PARK ON A BENCH. DAY

DEIONDRE takes a seat on the bench.

DEIONDRE

(Closes his eyes, assumes position and makes humming noise)

 

Silence.

PHONE

(Rings)

 

DEIONDRE

(Rolls his eyes as his looks at his phone. Answers with a sigh)

 

CHILDREN IN THE PARK

(Playful cheers/screaming)

 

GIRLFRIEND

(Slight mumbles on the phone)

 

DEIONDRE

(Mumbles)

 

DEIONDRE hangs up the phone after 2 hours of distraction.

 

DEIONDRE

I should just go home.

Packs up his equipment. Starts walking out of the park. Looks around and notices a part of the park he has never noticed before. Make his way over.

 

EXT. MAYESBROOK PARK. DAY

DEIONDRE set up for the last time. Starts in a different position – on his back.

 

DEIONDRE

(Stares at the sky. Takes a deep breath. Falls asleep in the position)

 

DEIONDRE has finally found inner peace.
